We put ourselves in a palmerie that no longer yields dates thanks to the drought of the past 2 years. Ammaaii what a great place. There are also FB acquaintances, “10000words” Dutch couple with 2 golden sons, Kaspen and Tristan. We stay here for 3 full days. We spend our days with nice chats. The 2 golden boys who visit now and then. We take a nice walk. Every morning to the center for fresh purchases. Little maintenance on Bakkie. get a hair cut. Sorting footage and that’s how the days fly by.<\/p>\n\n \n\n

But after 3 days we have to continue. I want to get the dust plates ordered from MAN Agadir as soon as possible, where we will arrive on Monday afternoon. Well, and then you will see the difference between a European and a North African MAN garage. But the main garage mechanic is friendly and helpful and with google translate and the part numbers we received from our Belgian MAN garage, the dust plates were ordered half an hour later. We will pick them up on Wednesday. On Tuesday we stay quietly at a campsite 20 km south of Agadir. Here we do a little maintenance on a cup and a laundry, there should always be time for that. As agreed, we go to the MAN garage in Agadir on Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n\n

whooowww MAN has finally made the dust plates in a reinforced version. We happy, garage mechanic very happy. After fitting and mounting 1 dust plate and getting some info for the 10000words team, we continue our journey. Just to the department store and to the Souk in Agadir center and then bakkie and I are done with it and hop we are gone. We drive to Tiznit where we will stand there for a few days. Oh yes, on the way to Tiznit we are also put aside by the gendarmerie royale. he was on the side with a speedgun, and we drove too fast, 71 instead of 60 km \/ hour. And how is this solved in Morocco? That is 300 dirhams but if you don’t need a receipt it is 200 dirhams so we go further and 200 dirhams less “20 euros”.<\/p>\n\n \n\n

As planned we go to Tiznit where we stop for a day to do some shopping in the city. That works quite well for of course little money. That evening we are told by the Dutch rally team that the Carta rally and 2 other events cannot take place. Because Morocco has decided to cancel it due to the corona virus in Europe. Actually a bit worldwide. Except in Africa where at the time of writing this blog only 2 cases of corona are KNOWN. Oops, so back to scratch when it comes to the new tire.
